Dental Care

Taking care of your child’s teeth begins even before they have their first tooth. Wipe your infant’s gums with a wash cloth every night to get them used to it. Then switch later to a baby tooth brush or silicone brush.

Try to avoid nighttime formula feeds if your child has teeth.

Floss with a floss pick if the teeth are touching.

Make a goal to wean off the bottle by the time your child is 12 months old! That means to try sippy cups and straw cups at 9-10 months old.

Make teeth brushing a fun daily ritual.

Make an appointment to see a pediatric dentist by 12 months old.
